Patrick
J. O’Connor is currently on the faculty at Kent State University. His
duties include teaching and conducting research at the graduate level as
well as program administration. A major portion of his university
research, teaching and grant development work relates to improving the
quality of the workforce. He is also an active marketing, training,
leadership and organizational development consultant to business,
education and government groups. His consulting group is also involved in
providing a wide assortment of meeting and conference speakers and
services for companies and professional organizations. He has held similar
positions in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Dr.
O’Connor is the author of two collegiate-level textbooks and numerous
articles in professional journals. He recently published Think You Know
America? in collaboration with his son Patrick, an editorial cartoonist. His bachelor and master degrees are
from Bowling Green State University and his doctoral work was completed at
Virginia Tech. He lives in Kent, Ohio with his wife Susan and three of
their four children.
