Take a journey through the world of editorial cartooning with Patrick A. O’Connor - award-winning editorial cartoonist for the Los Angeles Daily News. Find out where the ideas come from and how various political figures are drawn. You’ll get an insider’s glimpse into the “life on the edge” nature of the political/editorial cartoonist world. Patrick will tell and show you what life is like behind the pen. This presentation is well suited to groups of all kinds but especially managers, political groups, professional associations, university classes/groups and students.

CREATING CARTOONS

This presentation focuses on the creative process resulting in cartoon and caricature artwork. Learn where the ideas come from and how characters are drawn. Specific techniques to create visual impressions and messages are demonstrated. The program is suitable for any group but is especially popular with school groups.
